Regina and Chris June 2016 The morning of Regina and Chris’s wedding started early at a local venue, Flying Cloud in Petaluma CA. Regina chose a rustic country theme for her big day that is demonstrative of the couple’s roots in the ranching community. The day was filled with love, laughter and a group of women that truly focused on the day’s purpose. Jenny Mattos (Master Hairstylist and Makeup Artist) and Regina Camozzi both grew up on ranches in Petaluma and subsequently both ran for the honored position of Dairy Princess. However, the year Regina was up for the title Jenny was volunteering her time as a hair stylist and makeup artist. Regina had gone to get her hair styled earlier in the day, but absolutely hated the tight feel and severe look of the updo. She asked Jenny for help moments before going onstage. Jenny quickly got to work trying to loosen and soften the hairstyle. They instantly bonded and Jenny gave her advice during the Dairy Princess process. Jenny laughs as she reminisces, “I told Regina that the Dairy Women will tell you that you can’t see anybody’s face in the audience. But, that’s not true because you can see every face and I learned that while giving my speech.” Regina was well prepared for her speech after asking Jenny’s advice. Both women won First Alternate for Dairy Princess, Jenny in 2005 and Regina in 2010. As the years continued they remained in contact and Jenny was especially excited to learn that Regina would be marrying Chris Sepulveda. Jenny knew Chris from their years participating in FFA together. Regina and Jenny had similar upbringings, experiences and taste, so while Regina was planning her wedding she coincidentally chose Jenny’s wedding venue and some of the same vendors. Regina reached out via Facebook to Jenny for her advice and opinion while wedding planning. Jenny once again truly enjoyed sharing her experiences. Once it was time for Regina to choose a hair and makeup team she looked no further than Ethereal Beauty Elite Artistry. Regina booked an appointment before her wedding with Jenny for a color and haircut and with me (Stephanie, Master Makeup Artist) for a brow wax. She wanted to be prepared and prepped for her hair and makeup on her wedding day. However, she chose not to get a hair and makeup preview because she had Jenny do her styling in the past and had followed her career through social media. We give the bride choices when they pick our team for hair and makeup whether it is a request regarding the preview, a particular style or which stylist they prefer. We want each bride to feel confident with our services and team. Jenny and Regina had already established a relationship, so Jenny was the natural choice to do the hair and makeup for Regina and the hair for three of the attendants. Stephanie did the makeup for the mother of the bride (MOB) and all four attendants. Depending on the size of the wedding party, timeline, services and who from our wedding team is available determines which team members will be in attendance. If a bride knows and wants one of our team members then she can make a request for that particular stylist. Regina was confident that whatever Jenny created would be perfect for the wedding! Jenny and I arrived early to the venue and were completely set up as the bride, mother of the bride and her attendants arrived. They came prepared for the day with breakfast, lunch, drinks and practical items that would be needed throughout the day. We instantly were able to start styling and the day was filled with stories, laughter and a steady stream of hairspray. Regina consulted Jenny on a variety of styles for both hair and makeup. After some thought they decided a low loose romantic updo would be perfect for Regina’s type of hair. The updo was completed with a rhinestone bridal comb and her mother’s veil from 30 years ago. Regina’s makeup really focused on her expressive eyes. A beautiful creamy gold was applied to her lids with a smokey corner and crease, which created a romantic look that made her eyes pop. Regina wore an Essence of Australia lacy wedding gown with beautiful heels for the ceremony. At the reception she traded in her heels for her brown cowboy boots with blue stitching, which added that rustic country flair. Vanda Floral Design arranged her pink and white flower bouquet and wrapped the stems with lace from her great grandmother’s veil from 1926. The new combined with the family heirloom was stunning. The Mother of the Bride, Holly, was a lot of fun! She does not wear a lot of makeup but really wanted to step outside of her comfort zone for her daughter’s special day. I kept the eyes neutral by using Soft Brown, Embark and Vanilla Mac Eyeshadows. I used Youngblood Cosmetics Loose Powder Blush in Coral Reef with a mid toned lipstick to set off her look. The four attendants all wore different styles of makeup that ranged from neutral to dramatic. Jenny set and styled three of the girls’ hair, which they wore partially down in loose curls with different types of braids. Each was a little different, but once they were wearing their matching teal dresses the overall effect was cohesive and country chic. After the girls were complete they were off to their next destination of Saint Vincent de Paul Church for the wedding ceremony. Kimberly MacDonald took the wedding photos and did a phenomenal job of capturing the joy and love of not only the couple but family and friends as well. Regina was radiant as she walked down the aisle on her father’s arm and Chris’ face displayed love and pride as he gazed down at his beautiful bride.
