My new found love this year has definitely been Charlotte Tilbury. I have heard of her products for years and I loved everything I heard about them. But they almost sounded to good to be true. However, I found out, that wasn't the case. I was also scared to take the jump in, because if it was as good as it sounded, we all know, I would want everything! Which I can say has now happened!!!!
I only have a handful of products but LOVE every one of them! So when I saw she had a Beauty Advent Calendar, it seemed like a must Have!
I’m SO excited to get the Naughty and Nice Magic Box to share with you guys!
Stay tuned to see what all the fun products are and if I like all of them.

When I was younger I was always obsessed with Mac Cosmetics and always wanted to be a “Mac Girl.” In my mid twenties I did work for the company and was able to use all the brushes and experiment with all their products. Due to this experience I believe that Mac brushes will always be my favorite brand of brushes overall. They are made out of high quality materials and truly stand the test of time.

These last couple of months have been tough in our area but as I talk to each client and how they have been affected, they can always find what they are thankful for. At @ebeliteartistry we have so many blessings we are thankful for. We are first and foremost thankful for our family. They are always by our side and always show us consistent support. Our closest friends that have truly turned into family at this point. All our friends always checking in and engaging. All our amazing clients who let me do what I love to do as my career and to everyone supporting our blog, always giving us a ‘like’ or commenting and engaging with it, it really means a lot. We are thankful for SO much but these are definitely our stand outs this year.
One of the most beautiful sights is watching the sun rise over the Golden Gate Bridge. Jenny, Lindsey and I witnessed this as we drove into San Francisco to style Elyse Morris and her wedding party for her 1920’s themed June wedding. The day started out with an early departure from our Petaluma salon and a day filled with wedding bliss.
Jenny and Elyse have been friends since childhood. Elyse has an older sister named Sara who has been Jenny’s friend since elementary school, who also had Jenny do her hair and makeup for her wedding. Elyse became a regular client at the start of Jenny’s career. She even traveled from Southern California to her hometown to continually receive services from Jenny. Elyse knew that from the start that she wanted Jenny to do her hair and makeup for her wedding and booked out the day over a year in advance.
As we arrived on the 38th floor of the gorgeous hotel where we would be working for the day, we instantly noted the beautiful light and view of the bay. The room was very open and the windows large, so it was great lighting for makeup. We set up our stations and Jenny and Lindsey began setting hair for Elyse and Sara. The morning started off quiet and intimate and grew to a larger crowd of fun women.
Elyse planned her wedding around a 1920’s theme. Jenny styled her hair in soft curls and one side was pulled back in a vintage comb. Her makeup was stunning with neutral shades and soft touches to show off her natural beauty. She wore a gorgeous off the shoulder lace gown from Bliss Bridal.
Each of her bridesmaids had different styling but they all carried the 1920’s theme throughout their looks. Jenny created beautiful curled updos to fit the time period with subtle differences to create dimension and individuality, but also sustain cohesion. I did the makeup for the bridesmaids creating individual looks of smokey eyes and varying degrees of red lips. They wore beautiful nude/beige dresses by Adrianna Papell. The mother of the groom received hair and makeup services and the mother of the bride chose to get her makeup done. The mothers glowed in their individual styles.
Suzanne Karp was the wedding photographer and is absolutely amazing. She arrived as the ladies were getting ready and shot photos of everyone. After the bride was complete she took her across the street for the first look. The first look was so romantic and beautiful. The couple was married at The City Club in San Francisco. The groom waited on the roof of the venue for his stunning bride. As Elyse walked onto the roof we all stood at the windows of the hotel which overlooked The City Club’s roof. Although we were located at a distance we were able to witness the couple’s happiness and adoration for each other. A truly romantic and beautifully themed day!

Today we celebrate @ebeliteartistry's SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR + GRAPHIC DESIGNER (AKA our personal ‘Jane of all trades’) Tina Suhrke. Tina is our behind the scenes' girl. She does everything you see online, keeps Jenny going when blogs are needed, helps with ideas and does all our computer design work. She also let’s Jenny use her as her go-to braid model. (I mean, how could I not with THAT hair!) We appreciate everything you do for us, along with ALL your hard work and most of all, your loyal friendship. Thank you for all you do! We love you and Happy Birthday!
When I graduated from high school my parents wanted to get me a nice graduation present. They were thinking a lab top or something that would help me in college. But they were not surprised when I insisted on MAC Makeup brushes. At that point I was going into school for Psychology but ALWAYS had a love for hair and makeup. Still to this day, some of my favorite makeup brushes are the brushes my parents bought me as my high school graduation present.
